Goals

CCID aims at an empowered society that is able to effectively address its development issues. With our core interest in promoting diverse poverty reduction initiatives and social transformation, the organization priorities community participation and effective stake-holder cooperation to trigger social and economic development

We contextualize conceptualized projects to the local conditions to cause sustainable change; this is attained through; need assessment workshops, partnership in implementation, participatory project management, direct service delivery, capacity building, and advocacy.

Objectives

The organization aims at giving a thrust on sustainable livelihoods, participatory management and community mobilization.

To engage all sectors of society—business, government and civil society— in the community development to support community-led/ community-based initiatives

To demonstrate the power of the community to create sustainable change, using the CCID active citizen framework, on a nation scale through advocacy, action and evaluation

To ensure education for children, livelihood for the youth, healthcare in rural villages, women empowerment and sensitization of the underprivileged to effect change

Investing in women and families, by creating a social network, which helps women build livelihoods, address inequality and create opportunities for sustainability and self-determination.

To assist with the development of mechanisms, with which to enhance the credibility of young people, civil society organizations and equip them to act as positive agent of change
